The annual update -- QRISK^®2-2010

We are pleased to announce the 2010 update of QRISK2, QRISK2-2010, and the associated single use calculator.
By now, the 2009 version of the calculator will have timed out. QRISK2 is an annually updated score, and the time out is there to ensure that people migrate to the latest version of the score.

The QRISK and QIntervention websites, http://qrisk.org and http://qintervention.org have also been updated to use QRISK2-2010.

You can download the 2010 calculator from here (most Windows) and here (64-bit Windows).

Unzip the file and double click on setup.exe to get going. You'll need to re-enter your username and key to activate the software -- the old one will work fine. Email support@clinrisk.co.uk if you have lost your username/key pair, or if you have any other difficulty.

This is available to purchase on CD for £55+VAT per user, including post and packing, for a year's licence. The licence itself is here.

It is also available to download from this website for £36+VAT, again for a year's licence. Once you have purchased the download, we will provide you with a link.

Additional licences for use within the same organisation are also available for £35+VAT per user. You will, of course, need to have at least one copy of the software, either sent on CD or downloaded, to install it!

Product description

The QRISK^®2 Single Use Calculator is a Microsoft Windows implementation of the QRISK^®2 cardiovascular disease risk algorithm. Given a set of patient data, it will calculate and display that individual's 10-year QRISK^®2 score.

It is similar in look and feel to the QRISK^®2 web calculator, (http://qrisk.org). Unlike the web calculator, it does not require internet access, and is licenced for commercial/healthcare use.

How to install

The calculator works on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows7.

• Purchase a licence to use the application using the links below. The licence will entitle you to use the application, or any update, for one calendar year from the point of purchase.
• CD. When it arrives, load it into the machine and change to the QRv2Calculator folder.
• Download from the appropriate link at the top of this page. Double click on the .zip file to open the archive, and change to the QRv2Calculator folder.
• Double-click on the Setup.exe program. This will guide you through the setup procedure, installing the Microsoft .NET framework (the Microsoft libraries used by the application) on your machine if it is not already installed. You may need to re-boot your machine as part of the procedure.
• Read, and agree, the terms of the licence.
• Once the application has installed, run it from the Windows Menu. Go to the help menu, and choose the item "Generate licence key request". Enter the name of the person or organisation to whom the application will be licenced (your username), and generate the request.
• Cut and paste the licence request thus generated into an email to licence_request@clinrisk.co.uk. Once your order has been sucessfully processed, we will issue a key to unlock the application for that machine. Please note that the licence that we will generate is specific to that machine.
• Once you have received your key, start the application again. From the help menu, choose the item "Enter licence key", and enter your username and key. The application will then be unlocked until the expiry date which is at the beginning of the key.
• The application itself is straightforward to use.
